Chapter 2 · He caught the Whisper
The Whisper was the first soundwave — a single, gentle curve of meaning that had been traveling through the forest since the first word was ever spoken. No one heard it because they were too busy making noise. But Sloe, patient and still, heard it clear. He reached out, and the Whisper curled into a bubble in his paws and glowed soft magenta. Two shimmering W's settled into his eyes — a reminder that listening is where understanding begins.
